To support the immune system we also use thymus peptides or mistletoe –extracts.

Thymus peptides (thymus hormones) play an important role in the regeneration and maturation of T-lymphocytes. These T-lymphocytes are necessary to fight against cancer but also to remove dead tumor tissues.

Chemotherapy (and radiation) often reduce the numbers of T- lymphocytes. Studies have shown that by supportive treatment with thymus peptides the function of the immune system is maintained better during chemotherapy and recovers faster after chemotherapy.

Mistletoe extracts (mistletoe lectines) on the other hand are an unspecific stimulation of the immune system and require a response of the immune system. So mistletoe extracts are better used after finishing the chemotherapy as maintenance therapy.

Using mistletoe treatment  for every single patient an individual dose has to be identified.
